College is supposed to be the best years of our lives. That's what everyone told us growing up and in high school college became so close to the future it was scary. But does college really prepare you for the real world? Is it up to only you to prepare yourself? Aren't your professors and consolers supposed to help you? Well, if you're graduated you know that the real world is not easy. After graduation you're supposed to move on, move up, and get a real world job and live on your own. But that's not how it always works. We spend 4-5-6 years working toward a degree that we spent thousands of dollars on. Some grads move back home and get a job just to hold them over, some travel, some embrace the real world with full force.

It is weird to think that you are done with college right? That you won't be returning in the fall, that you won't be on campus all the time. And to be honest you'll probably only return to campus a few times. Homecoming, sorority/fraternity initiations and events, and maybe some sporting events. The memories you made in college will always stay with you and you will always have a story or 20 to tell. You will always remember your first, your lasts, and graduation. But it is the memories in between that matter, well besides the grades and passing. Though college was the time of our lives, are you really prepared to move past that? Are you ready for a real world job? You are, you are prepared, you are capable, you are strong. You cannot think about the negative aspects in life. You cannot let anything bring you down. You have to pick yourself up, get that job, and put your happy face on.

We all know that college came with it's ups and downs but life after all of it can be just as rough. We will climb many mountains and over come many obstacles. But it can also be the best ride of your life. But finding a job in your major, in your field can be rough and you might not find it right away. Some people are fortunate enough to get a job in their field right out of college, some move back home, some move to new cities or states, and some people travel. But don't let anyone or anything slow you down. Don't look at other peoples lives and think you're doing something wrong or just not living it up enough. You are a college graduate, you already accomplished so much, you overcame so many obstacles already. Whatever follows after graduation, make sure you put your heart and soul into everything that you do.

Are you ready for the real world? Are you ready to put your best foot forward? You are. Keep this in mind, in order to inspire, you have to be inspired.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
