There’s always that girl whining about not having been able to go to Coachella this year... that’s me. I’m a firm believer that everyone should go to at least one music festival in their life because it’s an experience like no other.

1. New music

There’s probably going to be a lull in between the artists you want to see. This gives the perfect opportunity to bop around and hear a new artist or even someone from a genre you’re not familiar with. You could even find your newest obsession.

2. Getting closer to friends

You’re with these people for a couple of days in a totally different environment. It gives you an opportunity to both have fun in a group and get closer to them over a mutual love for a band or performance.

3. The food

Festivals go all out. The food never disappoints. Do you want fried oreos? You got it. Pork belly bowls? Sure. There’s such an assortment that you get to try places from all over you wouldn’t have otherwise had.

4. The people

The saying that people come from “all walks of life” could not be more on display than at a music festival. People go crazy with their outfits, hair, and over the top personalities. Definitely an experience.

5. Celebrities

At some festivals more than others *cough* Coachella *cough,* you’re going to see some celebrities. This only adds to the electrified atmosphere of everyone around you. You’re already excited to see these amazing artists and happen to see G-eazy and Halsey; it’s pretty surreal.

I have chills just thinking about it. Go buy a music festival ticket right now, I swear you won’t regret it.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
