10 Reasons Why You Should Stop Everything And Thank Your Roommates

So, my roommates are my best friends. Sometimes we get along perfectly and sometimes I want to kill the one that's burning their frozen pizza or getting ice at 2 a.m. Sometimes things are smooth sailing and sometimes there's the one that does 5 loads of laundry and all I wanted to do was a single towel.

And don't get me wrong, sometimes that someone is me (I completely own up to not being the easiest person to live with at times — but who doesn't want ice cream from the freezer at 1:30 in the morning or to take a 40-minute shower after a long day??).

Sometimes we laugh together on the couch, and sometimes we sit in our bedrooms texting each other about how we will actually make it through college and we will actually become successful when we have tests tomorrow that feel like the end of the world is upon us.

My roommates and I love each other all the same, even on the tough days. And I probably don't thank them enough for living out college life with me. So here's my thank you to them.

1. They deal with your long AF showers

2. And your obsessive cleaning habits

3. They understand when school is making you have a mental breakdown

4. But they'll be sure to whip you back into shape

4. And celebrate with you when you get that A

5. They'll let you know when your outfit looks bomb

6. And will always be willing to go out to eat

7. They'll binge watch TV shows all day with you

8. And continue to convince you that you've got your life on track

9. They'll tag you in memes about your life at least 600 times a day

10. They chose to live with you

So to whoever is reading this, next time you see your roommates, thank them for being there for you through thick and thin, for dealing with your annoying habits, for being your shoulder to cry on, and for being the best damn roomies in the world!

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
