2017 has been an interesting year. It's more than apparent that politics has been the craziest part of this year, and the most stressful. Luckily, we have a show like Saturday Night Live to find the comedic aspect and let us feel a little lighter about things. We've lost many legends, including Tom Petty, Chris Cornell, Fats Domino, and even Don Rickles. It has been a stressful year, but I suppose there is a bit of a light in all of us that motivates us to keep going.

Musically, there have been some great albums released this year including Beth Ditto's "Fake Sugar", Beck's "Colors" Macklemore's "Gemini", Queens Of The Stone Age's "Villains" and Sleeping With Sirens' "Gossip" to name just a few. There's always a place for music to help lift us up in a time of need, and it has continued to do that. There's a song for every mood, and an album for every mindset. The chance to find new music is an endless, but amazing journey.

In the cinematic world, there were a number of interesting flms, but I prefer to wait until movies are on DVD, so I can really give them a good watch. A few highlights of this year, from what I have seen, include A Dog's Purpose, The Lego Batman Movie, and Kong: Skull Island to name a few. Just like music, there are endless paths to finding great movies. A few I'm looking forward to include, Atomic Blonde, Baby Driver, and The Hitman's Bodyguard.

What I basically wanted to get across here is that, 2017 was a crazy and interesting year. A lot of has happened, and a lot has changed. As I said in one of my earlier articles, we have to stick together, because we are one and we have to stick together rather than falling apart. We have to appreciate each other, and embrace our differences and our similarities, because rather than being the same, we are all different, but we are all equal and are entitled to our rights. With that being said, 2017 was crazy, but we need to work and make 2018 amazing. Little changes can lead to big progress.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
