1. The EIC is awesome!

I might be a little bias on this one but the Jacksonville community has an awesome EIC. She really rocks!

2. Everyone in the community is really cool.

All the people in the group are awesome. Like we all get along, support each other, and help one another.

3. You can write about whatever you want.

Odyssey doesn't really restrict what you write. You can boost your own opinion on here as long as you don't try to shove it down throats. This is essentially a place you can write whatever.

4. Make some really cool friends.

Again our group has some easy going people in it. Everyone is easy to talk to and they will engage you in conversation over anything. From serious conversations to goofy ones.

5. You get recognized for good works.

When you do articles and submit them you have a chance to be on the main Odyssey page. Which is a really big deal because it means your article was really top notch. But no one work goes unnoticed especially when you share it on Facebook or other social media.

6. Not a hard job.

Writing for the Odyssey you do have a deadline to meet. It is not that hard to type up an article. It can be easily done in an hour or so as long as it is what you want to write. We know life can get in the way of some things but it's not hard.

7. Express your feelings.

In Odyssey, your feelings matter. That is why you are here to let loose and express how you feel about any subject matter. Could be s serious topic or a not so serious one. It is just fun to write.

8. Easy going group.

This group has some laid back people. Don't get me wrong they can be serious but most of the time it is just jokes and giggles with the group.

9. No one judges what you write.

What you write is what you write and no one is gonna say anything. We are a judge free zone, don't be afraid to write on a topic you strongly agree or disagree with.

10. We are a big family.

A family is not just blood but it is people who support you and care for you no matter what and that is the Odyssey team. We support one another. We care about you and help you do amazing. Write awesome content.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
