For everyone that has eaten dining hall food, or will be eating dining hall food in the near future please you need to read this. I average 1 swipe per day and let me tell you some days that one swipe isn't worth it. So here are all the reasons I will not gain the freshman 15 and will barely eat in the dining halls.

1. I Have Yet To Eat A Meal That I Would Consider Warm

2. Ice Cream for Dinner is Only Fun When You Have Real Dinner Plans Later

3. Salad for Every Meal Just Makes You Dislike Salad

4. The Meal Options Are Always Similar

5. When There Is A Good Meal The Line Is Super Long, And It Will Still Be Cold

6. Finding A Table That Has Been Wiped Down Recently Is Impossible

7. Don't Even Get Me Started On How Hard It Is To Find A Fork

8. One Ice Cream Machine Is Always Broken

9. Pizza And Fries Are Only Good For The First Few Days

10. The Staff Gets Mad When You Ask For The Grilled Chicken They Keep In The Back

11. Honestly, Who Wants To Turn Off Netflix And Walk To The Dining Hall

12. A Spoonful Of Peanut Butter Is More Filling Than A Standard Meal

13. Depending On Where You Go You'll Probably End Up Feeling Sick Later

14. Even The Soda Fountain Gets Boring

15. The Cookies Are Store Bought

16. The Athletes Always Find A Way To Fill 7 Plates, When You Can Barely Fill One

17. Finding A Good Quiet Spot To Eat Alone Takes Some Serious Effort

18. It Is Never Quiet

19. If You Decide To Go Later Odds Are They've Run Out Of Food

20. Nothing Will Ever Compare To A Homecooked Meal

If anyone knows any dining hall secrets please help this poor soul! I have been in college for a little over a month now and am in desperate need of some alternatives!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating.
