Reasons Why I want to be a Disney Character

I have been dreaming of Disney for as long as I can remember.

Ever since I was young I have dreamed of being a Disney Princess, at first it was because I wanted the title of princess, but that has changed. As I have gotten older I have discovered more reasons as to why I want to be a Disney Princess or even a Disney Character.

Kindness

They are always kind no matter who they are interacting with. From the strangest old lady asking for milk to the animals running around their feet.

Intelligence

They are smart and think about more than just themselves. They consider all of the possibilities of their actions and they tend to think through every action and any reactions they may have. Given this does not happen all of the time because if it did then we wouldn’t have any of the Disney movies.

Bravery

No matter what life throws at them they continue to charge into it head first. They do what they feel is right and stand by their decisions.

Imagination

They see the world not as it is but as it could be. They dream of what the world could offer them if only they go for it.

Inspiring

They inspire the people who watch the movies. Yes I do understand that they are only stories that are written to entertain but they hold messages in them that everyone should hear at least once in their life.

Selfless

They think about what is good for those around them and they act with the interests of others in mind.

Trust

They are trustworthy and if you tell them something they will hold it dear to them. They are also trusting in the world around them, sometimes this works against them but then other times it leads them to the gems in the rough and they find the people that can change their whole world.

Curious

They question everything around them. Why do I have to spend my life in a tour? Why can I not read and explore the world out of my reach? Why am I limited to the life I have been given?

Hope

When things seem dark and doomed they see beyond the darkness. They believe that things can be turned around and they don’t let sadness pull them down.

Adventure

Follows them everywhere and they embrace it with open arms.

Respect

This is given to everyone around them no matter their size or their station in life.

Independence

Letting another person lead their life is not something that they allow. They want to make their own decisions and do not want to be controlled or forced to be dependent upon anyone else.

These are all qualities that I strive to instill in myself and when I am older and have a family of my own I would want my kids to hold these.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
