As a Dalton State College student, I've noticed there are to many GREAT things about attending Dalton. If you are struggling where to go after high school, please consider this option. It will be beneficial to you in every aspect. Here are eight reasons TO go to Dalton State College.

1. It's inexpensive.

College is expensive, but here at Dalton State, it is normal for students to graduate with NO student debt.

2. Its size.

It's a small school, so that makes classes have nice sizes rather than having 100+ people. Everyone also knows everyone.

3. The professors.

It's normal for professors in college to be super cool, but our professors are super duper cool! Some of the professors here are beyond amazing and help students so well. They are also super duper sweet.

4. Krispy Kreme!

About a year ago a Krispy Kreme was added just down the street from the school. It has been my favorite hang out ever since.

5. Their programs.

It's true that we don't have TONS of programs, but the ones we do have are of terrific quality.

6. The students and faculty!

Everyone here is super nice and easy to get along with. Even if you have a hard time making friends, you're bound to find someone random to befriend.

7. The classes.

Classes are always passable here. Teachers are always willing to work with students, and there are plenty of resources to help students reach their goals.

8. The environment.

There is going to be renovations soon, and if it goes anything like the student center renovation, Sequoya will be BEAUTIFUL!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
