There are people who you can choose to be in your life, but then there are others who are just there in your life. Your cousins are those people who are just in your life because they are your cousins. However, this makes them your built-in best friends and they know a lot about your life. They have been with you through every big or small event. They are the people you go to get tough love advice from.

They are also the people who can laugh at you, but also comfort you at the same time. Your cousins are the best friends who remind you of your childhood memories, the best friends who bring up your embarrassing moments, but also the best friends who cheer you on throughout your life.

1. They know everything about you and everything you do in your life.

You might think you have some news for them, but trust me they already know. It's like the game telephone.

2. Your cousins have seen it all. They have seen you from your awkward stage to your less awkward stage and finally your best stage.

I mean they have known you since you were born.

3. The good thing about cousins is they can be the ones to tell you to stop because you're really embarrassing yourself.

Yeah, maybe you shouldn't do that dance move anymore.

4. Cousins are also really great about boosting your self-esteem.

If you're having a bad day your cousins can tell you how amazing you are.

5. Cousins always have your back no matter what.

They will drop everything in order to help you, whether it is the smallest or biggest problem in your life. Basically, if someone is giving you a hard time they better watch out because the squad is coming.

6. Finally, your cousins will forever be your built-in best friends.

No one can ever come between you and your cousin squad.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
