Everyone dreams of going to college and think it will be easy. Think high school prepared them for the future. Well, it is not all cake and ice cream but it isn't as bad as high school teachers put it out to be. College is actually a fun experience that comes with stress and fun.

1. Deadlines to meet.

The one thing everyone dreads deadlines. They are easy to miss. Don't procrastinate on getting things done by that deadline. Stress will eat you alive and you will want to watch Netflix instead of doing the work.

2. Classes will make you lose your head.

We all have taken a class that we thought we would totally utterly fail. Well in college it is 100 times worse. You think you can handle so many hours of class but once you are in and see how much the struggle is you are bound to lose your head every once and a while.

3. Morning lectures.

Do not go for the 7:30 am or the 8 am lectures unless you know for a fact you are an early bird. You might not make it if you are one that likes to sleep in. Also, some professors will put you to sleep during that time so don't give your self that.

4. Lack of sleep.

Unless you follow a strict routine every day and go to sleep at a certain time you can forget that. College will screw up any pattern or routine you had. Especially when it comes to studying for exams or doing projects at the last minute.

5. Getting to class on time.

Depending on where classes are it can be stressful just finding the class but then the problem comes to getting there on time from another class.

6.Procrastination.

Biggie for a lot of people. Never wait until the last minute to do something. It can put so much stress on you it is not even funny. Don't let time slip away or let deadlines sneak up on you.

7. Crunched for time.

Time is the biggest factor in college because some people wanna get out in a certain amount of time. Meaning they will go through many hours of classes at a time. For others a time crunch could be getting from class to another, studying for an exam with little notice, or getting something done for class with 15 minutes till class. No matter what type of time crunch it is horrible.

8. Not eating at reasonable times.

Stress eating is the worst because it makes you eat at the most unusual of hours during the day. That and lack of sleep can cause the dreaded and most favored rumor the freshman 15.

Don't let stress take over when you should eat and what out for how often you eat as well. You don't wanna be up at two a.m. working on a project and then find yourself eating while you work.

9. Far from home.

Being far from home causes a lot of stress because you are not home with mom and dad where you can just go get a hug. Unless you commute from home or home is not to far of a drive. For those who live too far to drive have a hard time coping at college freshman year. Due to the overwhelming features of going to college and living on campus it does cause so much stress.

10. Because it is college

College is stressful to begin with. No if, and's, or but's about it. College is ruthlessly stressful no matter what you do. There will times you want to rip your hair out, fall face first on your dorm bed and scream, or maybe just cry everything out. It will be okay because going to college will mean something one day.
