6 Reasons Chris Crocker Is The Best

Chris Crocker has become my spirit animal. He's so real. He's so down to earth, and the things he says are hilarious and you can relate to them. He's basically the cooler version of me, except his makeup is better than mine and he's actually funny. Here are six reasons Chris Crocker is the absolute best.

1. His views about putting on makeup are pretty solid.

Like Chris, I'm not me when I don't have on my makeup. I'm not awake without "putting on my eyes" either, and I can't function.

Best part of this video: "You can't judge me based on how I act before I got my face on." Same, Chris. Same.

2. His response to body shaming haters is magic.

I love this because he's basically saying, "You do you, boo." Even though he's not taking the fact that someone pointed out that he "got fat" to heart, he is pointing out that he's basically going to do whatever and eat whatever food he wants to.

Best line of this video: "I'm a super-sized diva." Yes, you are, Chris.

3. He's not afraid to make his opinions known.

Regardless of how you feel about Pokemon, Chris's stance on "Pokemon GO" is hilarious and true. I didn't grow up with Pokemon myself (I know, I had a deprived childhood), so I guess I don't understand it either.

Best part of this video: His facial expressions and body movements.

4. His advice on self-worth is spot on.

When it comes to addressing relationships and self-worth, I feel like his advice isn't coming from a place of "I know better." He's being sincere, and he doesn't use flowery language. He gets right to the point, and he uses his platform to try to inspire people not to settle and that you are what you settle for. I'm not in a relationship myself, but watching this video made me think of the times I could have used his advice in past relationships.

Best line of this video: "You teach a man how to treat you."

5. His BS tolerance is low and it's perfect.

Relating to the whole self-worth concept, he realizes what a catch he is. He doesn't have time for men who don't have time for him, and I respect that wholeheartedly. He's basically saying that life is too short to tolerate being unappreciated in someone's life. When he recognizes he's not being appreciated, as much as it hurts, he moves on because he knows he deserves to be happy.

Best part of this video: His facial expressions.

6. His explanation of friends in relationships is excellent.

Not only does he nail what it's like when friends disappear in romantic relationships, he also owns up to the fact that he has done this as well. Not many people are brave enough to admit they've done this. I have probably done this as well in past relationships, but not to the extent that my friends have. He makes a great point about learning to balance your relationships (platonic or not) so that no one feels like they've been forgotten.

Best line of this video: "Remember that you were first a friend before you became a girl (or boy) friend."

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
