We all make resolutions for the new year, whether it be to lose weight, to exercise more, to save money, etc. But are we really sticking to these resolutions or are we just talking the talk and not walking the walk?
If you really do want to change your life for the better but you don't know where to start, here are some tips that might help you out. These are some of the most common resolutions and how you can keep the goals going for the whole year.
Read more books
We all love to read, but sometimes we often may not have time to fit it in to our busy schedules. Maybe if we had some more motivation then maybe we would be reading a lot more. Here are a few challenges that you can use to help you increase your readings throughout the year, because we could all use an escape from the real world.
Lose weight
I know it is a very common resolution but sometimes it can be hard to stick to it especially if temptation still exists. I know that there is Weight Watchers, but not everyone can afford it since membership does cost money. But if you can afford it take advantage of it, it is a great program, and the best part is that unlike a diet you don't have to give up your favorite foods. If you can't afford it, here are some alternatives.
Save money
This is something that we all struggle with because there is always things we both need and want. One thing you can do is set a monthly limit on your credit card so you don't go overboard and have more bills to pay as the month ends. You can also use a debit card as well if you aren't comfortable with carrying cash and you don't have to pay it back because the money comes directly out of your account when you make a purchase. Here are some more money-saving tips.
Get more exercise
I know its hard to find motivation in the cold weather, but there are ways to exercise without even leaving the house. It is also good to invest in a Fitbit—there are many different kinds of them with different prices to best suit your price range. You can also do the daily challenges they offer as well.
Learn a new skill
New year new skills, right? Not for some people who might get so caught up in their lives they might forget to even learn that skill that they were supposed to learn last year. Well, you can make this year the year that you finally learn something new. Here is my suggestion: take one hour each day and work on perfecting that skill. Not sure what you want to do or where to start? This might help you out.
Everyone has different goals, but just keep in mind that matter what those goals may be, that you stick to it and never give up on your dreams because no one deserves to have a horrible year. Let's make this year awesome!
Goodbye 2018, hello 2019!
