To Answer The Question "Why Do You Wear So Much Makeup?"

"Do you have real eye brows?"
"Girl, why do you have all of that makeup caked up on your face?"
"She looks fake."
"I'm sure you look fine without it."
"Why do you wear so much makeup?"
"I bet she's really ugly without it."
"I could wipe your eyebrows off."

I've heard so many comments when it comes to girls wearing makeup. Mostly negative. I always get asked, "Why do you wear so much makeup?"

So to answer the question: it's because I want to. Plain and simple. I like wearing makeup. I choose to spend my money on eyeshadow pallets and lipsticks because that's what makes me happy. Yes, I have real eyebrows. I just like them to look fuller. No, I am not ugly under my "mask." How rude of you to even assume that. Those ugly comments look worse than my face under my "mask." Yes, I do look fine without it, but I feel happier with it. And let's be honest, Michelangelo couldn't draw eyebrows that look this good, or blend eyeshadow and lay a perfectly straight wing over it. So please do not try to put your dirty hands on my face to "wipe my eyebrows off" because this is a work of art.

Your body is a canvas, so paint it and decorate it how you want it! There is no better feeling than putting your eyebrows on fleek or getting that perfectly straight and pointed wing. When you wear your make up, you can express yourself however you portray beauty. And there is no better feeling than earning rewards points in Sephora and getting freebies. Am I right? Yes.

So many people have struggled with acne when they were going through puberty, which has left scars and impurities in their skin. Makeup helps give you the confidence and enhance the features that were a little hard to appreciate before.

Let a person live how they want to. If they want to live it with their double wear, primer, setter, concealer, blush, bronzer, etc. then so be it. Otherwise, move aside so the next person can come admire my beat face.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
