Real Confessions: Part I

You ever want to get something off your chest, have an interesting experience to share, or want to read someone else's? That is what this monthly series is about. This monthly article will reveal people's secrets, experiences, and thoughts that they would like to share but may not want to tell the people in their lives. This is Real Confessions.

PMS-ING

"I had PMS so bad one time that when my microwave told me to enjoy my meal I cried because I thought it was the only thing that cared about me." Sophia, 28

"Once while I was PMS-ING I thought that my future husband would cheat on me so I cried for four hours straight with no rationality at all." Olivia, 24

TEXT FAIL

"I sent a text to a friend complaining about my other friend Adam. I turns out I was texting Adam! I was so embarrassed so I told him that text was about a three year old I was babysitting and he totally bought it." Mia, 18

FIRST TIME DRUNK

"I woke up in another state in bed with a gorgeous woman. I didn't know how I got there or what happened but decided to make the most of it with her and try to get her number after. Just then her husband came in. I had to call my mom to come pick me up. I still to this day do not know what happened the night before." Liam, 22

DAMN AUTO-CORRECT

"Texted my husband that I wanted him to bring me home some "tit cream". He replied and asked if it was in the same aisle as the lube. Let's just say I didn't get any Ben and Jerry's that night." Zoe, 26

LIES GONE TOO FAR

"Years ago I had ran into an ex-boyfriend while he was shopping with his current girlfriend. To seem more cool and less alone I told him that I had a boyfriend who is overseas. I didn't think about the fact that he is best friends with my best friend. This lie got so out of control that it was three years later and I am still lying about a boyfriend I call Brad. Everyone keeps asking me when they can meet Brad and when are we getting married." Emily, 25

THE L.A. LIFE

"I used to work at a movie studio awhile back. There were always a lot of people standing out front waiting to catch a glimpse of someone famous. I liked to play pranks on them by driving around in a golf cart wearing big sunglasses while holding my hand over my face pretending to be a celebrity." Amelia, 27

SNEEZO

"Back when I was in high school I would always sit next to my crush during history class. I had been crushing on this girl for about a year. As I was chatting with her before the bell rang I sneezed. Some big boogers and snot came onto my hands. As she watched I panicked and wiped my hands on the girl in front of me. We never went out." Ethan, 23

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
