Ranking The Top 25 Logos in Sports

So who REALLY has the best logo?

While watching the World Series I realized one thing: both the Indians and Cubs have pretty mediocre logos. This made me think: What are the best logs in the 4 Major Professional Sport Leagues (MLB, NHL, NFL, NBA)? (also this is only the team's primary logo, if this was alternate logos the list would be too hard to make)

25 Milwaukee Brewers

24 Miami Dolphins

23 New Orleans Pelicans

22 Minnesota Timberwolves

21 Atlanta Hawks

20 Charlotte Hornets

19 New York Rangers

18 Vancouver Canucks

17 Atlanta Falcons

16 Toronto Raptors

15 Baltimore Orioles

14 Pittsburgh Penguins

13 Houston Texans

12 Houston Rockets

11 Oakland Raiders

10 Toronto Blue Jays

I’m giving the Jays this spot solely for the retro look they have going on. It looks like it’s straight out of the 70’s and that’s a awesome move by the Jays.

9 Washington Wizards

The wizards have had a rough history with logo, but the new one is great. The Washington monument inside the ball isn’t too blatant, and the star at the center gives it a very patriotic vibe.

8 Pittsburgh Steelers

A logo as old as football itself. There’s not much to say here except for the fact that the using the logo for US Steel for your logo is an expert move.

7 Golden State Warriors

I hate the Warriors, I really do. That being said I love their logo. The Blue and Yellow is a great color combo, and the bridge is so understated that it gives it a retro feel. I particularly love that they chose to use the bay bridge instead of the golden gate bridge.

6 New Jersey Devils

I will admit I am partial to this as a Devil’s fan, but it’s a great logo. The blending of the N and J give it a fluid feel, with the horns and tail playing up the devil theme. I especially like the circle around the logo, as it represents a puck.

5 Colorado Avalanche

I usually am not the biggest fan of putting letters it your logo ( it’s kind of a cop out), but the fact that the A is also a ski mountain makes up for it. I especially like that the avalanche wraps around the A.

4 St. Louis Blues

The music note logo is a great one because when you first look at it it’s not too obvious that it’s a music note. The wing gives it a sense of urgency and makes it visually pleasing.

3 Chicago Blackhawks

When I got the idea of this article, I originally had the Blackhawks as the best logo. The colors compliment each other so well, and the move to go with a friendly looking logo instead of a threatening one is refreshing and unique.

2 Baltimore Ravens

I love the entire shtick of the Baltimore Ravens. Naming the team after Edgar Allen Poe’s most famous poem was a stroke of genius. It’s a fierce logo, yet not too aggressive, and the purple and gold produce a nice royal feel.

1 New York Yankees

Simple, yet elegant. When it comes to an iconic logo the Yankees take the cake by a mile. It’s a logo synonymous with success, dynasties, and sports in general.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
