Rainy Days don't always have to be depressing

Just relax.

During the summer it's always raining no matter where you go. Some days the rain can be predicted, others not so much. But how does one get over the blues of a rainy day?

Well first things first, think about control. You have absolutely no control over the weather forecast and you never will.

I understand some might be a bit frustrating as you probably had other plans that day. But just remember it's only one day. Don't let one small thing turn into a bigger problem. I must admit, I used to hate when it rained out. But at the same time, it just meant that I would just take a day to just unwind from everything. Meaning that once certain things were planned and I could no longer go because of the weather I would just simply take a deep breath.

I know it's easier said than done but like I said, you have no control. Just relax, and if anything, just spend most of the day binge-watching your favorite Netflix shows and have yourself a good read with your favorite book. If you're a bookworm like myself rainy days are perfect for catching up on a good read.

So no matter what, you don't have to always look at rain as depressing. Try looking at it differently and think that this could actually be a day of peace and quiet. Also, realize that there are certain people who never get to see rain that often. Imagine having a hot and dry summer. Not the best thing in the world. Yes, I understand winter is a drag and we all complain about it. However, I would definitely 100% take rain over snow any day. So just remember to put on your rain boots, grab your umbrella, and hope for the next sunny bright day.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
