Some people hate rainy days because it makes them sad. Some people feel like they could sleep forever during rainy days. Some people are extremely unproductive because the world mellows when it's dreary out. And then there are the people who love the rain because it's cozy and comfortable. Here are reasons why everyone should look at a rainy day like more of a good thing.

They're cozy

There is nothing better than curling up in a ball on the couch in some sweats that makes rainy days the best. It's perfect to be in a blanket and wear your most comfortable clothing because it's dreary out but you can be the most comfortable inside.

They're the best binge-watching days

While you're all cozy on the couch, there is actually no better type of day to catch up on all of your favorite shows or movies. You don't want to be outside and don't ever feel like you're missing anything when it's rainy out, so it lets you be a bum without judgement. Watch 9 house of Friends. Who cares?!

It's perfect sweats weather

No matter who joins you on a rainy day, whether it be a family member, a friend, or a love interest, no one judges you for being in sweats when it's rainy out! It just doesn't matter what you look like because they get that all anyone wants to be in this weather is comfortable.

Great drinking weather

Okay so hear me out. This might not be what people typically think of when they think of drinking weather and yes, most people think of warm, sunny days when it comes to great drinking weather, BUT some of the best memories happen on the nights where you stay in with your friends and drink and don't even step foot outside. Some of the best memories are when you say, let's watch a movie and hang out and have a glass of wine. Rainy days are perfect for those nights. As an even bigger plus, you can do it in sweats - that's a win for everyone.

Rain pairs well with any movie

Need to laugh cause the weather has you down? Comedy. You're lonely and stuck inside with some wine cause of the weather? Romantic Comedy. Feeling a little spooked by the howling rain and wind? Thriller or Scary movie. Rainy nights are actually the best for ANY type of movie mood you're in.

Comfort food

Soups, hot chocolate, chili, hot tea, and there are so many more that remind people of rainy days. These foods comfort you because they warm you inside and out. There's no better night to make a warm stew, some baked goods, a hot beverage or anything else that warms your insides than a rainy night.

You're able to shut out the world

Work stressing you out? Friends blowing up your phone? Can't seem to catch up on sleep? Rainy days are the perfect excuse to shut out the world and do what you need to do for you. It's one of the few times that people don't mind when you cancel on plans because the weather stinks. It's the perfect type of weather for some R&R and for some you-time. Nothing is better than that!
