As an English Education Major, there are many moments where I find myself struggling to stay focused on certain projects. I usually never shy away from anything having to do with English though. One of the many perks of being a lover of English and literature is that it gives a very creative insight to some of the most mundane components of our society. What follows are different "Departments" that would be found in the world of English if we had our own office building.


Anytime someone needs a reference, they go here. You can either get references that pertain to literature, or you can get physical references for things like job applications, scholarships, etc.


Just to have a department that is also funny with its title name. If you are ever in need of trying to write some good alliteration, always acquire an adequate arsenal of words from this department. Great resource for poets and poetry lovers alike.


*This department is to ensure that everyone knows how to properly cite their work. Incredibly useful to essay writers and journalist. If you ever need to double check as to how to properly use citations, this is your place.


If you are one that has trouble finis… and you can't ever seem to comple… then this departme… Maybe I should just sto…


Who doesn't like puns? I think they're punny, but that's just me. If you are ever looking for a stupid joke or play-on word, this is the place to go. Best time to visit this department is when you're having a bad day.


Do you need a job? Are you looking to make some extra money? Are you tired of looking for work everywhere else? Well, stop looking and come on down to this department. We can have you working our front desk in no time!

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
