8 Questions I Have For NC State University
globalchange.ncsu.edu

There are so many questions that run through my mind on a day to day basis that have to do with the school I attend. I love you NC State but here are some of the things that really puzzle me.

1. Why are the dining halls always so hit or miss?

One day every dish at Fountain is edible and then the next the only thing that looks real is the cereal.

2. Where does my Tapingo order disappear to?

There have been many times that after waiting for 30 minutes that I realize my coffee is never going to appear and I have to give up. Where do the yellow receipts go?

3. Why does it seem like my suite is made of cardboard?

Something seems to break every other week and the bathrooms are always wet… what is up with that?

4. And why does it always smell funky?

Every time I walk in the door it always smells different and I just can not figure out why. None of my suite mates are gross so this is a true mystery to me.

5. Are these elevators really safe?

Seeing laminated instructions posted inside for what to do if you get stuck isn’t exactly the most comforting thing in the world.

6. Is the Brickyard Preacher really safe?

I honestly don’t think any person has the real answer to this.

7. How do we not trip over bricks?

When you cover almost ever inch of this campus in bricks and then mix in a tradition of taking a brick out of the sidewalk, how does one not bust their butt at least once?

8. Why don’t the other two tunnels have cool names?

I get that the spray paint is a factor but don’t you think the other two feel left out?

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
