There is nothing more exciting than feeling the energy of an SEC game. The band, the cheerleaders, the mascots, the football players, it's all so exciting and when you witness your first in-person touchdown by your very own college, there's nothing quite like the burst of excitement that rattles through the student section. There are a few things you will need to survive your time in the SEC Student section of your choosing though because game days can be brutal here in the South Eastern Conference.
1. Chapstick
It's crucial to keep this stuff on hand, because the SEC falls can range from blistering heat to bitter cold within weeks and you've gotta protect your lips as you sit through 4+ hours of football and pregame fun.
2. Deck of Cards
Let's face it, student section tickets are in a prime location, and they're cheap, which is great, but you really do have to arrive well before the game starts to even thing about finding seats. A deck of cards is a great way to kill time during your two-hour wait for pre-game festivities without killing your phone battery.
3. Sunglasses
You will be in direct sun most of the game, if not all of the game and let me tell you stadium sun is a whole other evil.
4. Water
It's hot out here and you're gonna be doing A LOT of screaming, chanting, and talking. Gotta keep yourself hydrated.
5. Deodorant
It's hot out here y'all, it sure won't hurt to re-apply.
6. Battery Pack
Phones are your lifeline at any college football game. With constant picture-taking, snapchat story updates, and time-killing scrolls through social media before the game even begins, you can be sure that phone battery isn't going to last the entire game and the ride home without a little help from a portable charger.
7. Shakers
Shakers just make game day more fun, okay?
