The holidays start off with a bang early in November
When the dining courts set up a Thanksgiving feast, a view of splendor
Fill your plate with turkey and pumpkin pie
Campus goes quiet, it’s time for break, say "goodbye"
Then students stampede back with a fortnight to go
With Christmas cheer and wishes for snow
By day the Bell Tower chimes with Christmas carols
And by night students whine, wearing their comfiest Purdue apparel
Don't miss the PMO Christmas show
And check out the lights strung on Greek row
Finally it’s December and the festive spirit grows
Especially when the PMU Christmas tree shows
Taller than the ceiling, it needed a trim
Decorated with tons of tinsel and lights that won’t dim
The smell of the giant gingerbread house wafts down the hall
While the choir sings beautiful carols to all
"Merry Christmas" in all the languages hang from the ceiling
And joy flutters from student to student, from Engineering to Beering
The Starbucks is hopping and so are the students
In the Union, PSUB provides plenty of amusement
Classes and reviews and coffee galore
Lots to do although dead week is a bore
High fashion can't get any better
As people mill around in ugly Christmas sweaters
Breakfast with Santa and finals week soon comes around
Managing stress with little spare time to be found
Eat plenty of cookies and candy canes
As the days tick by and only a week remains
Food and hot chocolate accompany laughter
People crowd around tables with plans to celebrate after
Students focus on studying, get down to business
Won't have to wait long, because soon after it is Christmas!
