Let People Be Excited For Pumpkin Spice

It's the best season, so what's not to be excited for?

A few days ago, pumpkin spice lattes came back to multiple coffee shops and I was/am living for it. Pumpkin season is my favorite season. Everything that has a pumpkin alternative, I am buying it. Pumpkin just makes me happy.

Pumpkin spice lattes are great iced or hot. Pumpkin coffee from Wawa is to die for. Most foods that come in pumpkin spice flavor is better than the original flavor, such as Life Cereal. If you haven't tried Pumpkin Spice Life Cereal, then you're missing out. It's the best.

I don't know what it is about pumpkin spice, but whatever it is, it brings me so much happiness. I love it so much, I wish it was available all year.

But like with anything that brings people joy, there is always the negative Nancy that has to let people know that they are not happy about it coming back so soon.

I saw at least four people on my social media pages share their negative feelings about pumpkin spice season being back, and I saw one major restaurant chain make a post about it being "too soon" for pumpkin spice to be back.

I have a question for those people.

Why do you feel the need to hate on something that brings a lot of people so much happiness?

Sure, I don't like everything, either, but I don't go around making Facebook statuses or Tweet about how much I hate it. I keep my opinion to myself.

Pumpkin spice is not hurting you. Heck, most things that people like aren't hurting you, so why don't we try to just let people enjoy the things they like? If it is not bringing any danger to you, them, or the population, just let them be.

You can still think it is too early for pumpkin stuff to be available, but don't make those who are excited about it feel stupid for being excited.

We only get this drink for a few months out of the year, so let us get them as soon as we can and be excited about it!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
