Ah yes, it’s that time of the year when the leaves start changing and everyone begins to don their sweaters. It’s Fall!
It’s also that time of year when Starbucks rolls out their limited edition Pumpkin Spice Latte made with no actual pumpkin ingredients! Yum! There is such a fandom around the seasonal drink that Starbucks even released it early this year. Realizing that there was money to be made, other companies wanted a slice of the pumpkin madness. However has this autumn craze gone too far? Here’s a list of some pumpkin flavored things I’m a little hesitant to try.
Vodka
Although I’m all for consuming flavored alcoholic drinks (legally of course), I just can’t see this leaving a very pleasant aftertaste. I feel as if the cinnamon pumpkin flavor wouldn’t really blend with the burn of the vodka but then again, who’s really analyzing taste when it comes to alcohol?
Chewing Gum
Yea because you really want to go up to your crush (or anywhere) with pumpkin breath. Gross.
Oreos
I’ve heard mixed reviews about this product. On one hand, they’re supposedly very tasty and the vanilla cookie compliments the pumpkin spice crème in all of the right ways. On the other hand, they might taste like what most would imagine a fall themed Yankee candle might taste like. The smell can be a bit overwhelming too, so proceed with caution.
Soda
I’m used to my Pumpkin Spice Latte being a warm sensation of cinnamon goodness NOT cold, carbonated, hellfire blazing it’s way down my throat.
Twistix Dental Chews for Pets
You can introduce your puppy to the craze of the season too!
Pringles
Because I don’t want my chips to taste like chips. I want them to taste like pie.
Bar Soap
Consume the Pumpkin Spice. Smell the Pumpkin Spice. Be the Pumpkin Spice. Isn't this going a bit overboard?
Some of you may be more adventurous (or obsessed with everything pumpkin) than I am but I’ll happily stick with my classic Pumpkin Spice Latte. Happy Fall!
