The holidays are just around the corner. That means things are about to get crazy with holiday cheer! Some people love the holidays (like me) while other people can't wait for them to be over. While it may seem impossible to be festive with school and work, it is possible. I am here to tell you how to become festive before the holidays begin...lets get started!
1. Put up the tree
YEP! I said it, and it is number 1! Nothing will put you in a better mood than twinkling lights on a festive smelling tree.
2. Buy some Christmas socks
Literally, nothing is better than Christmas socks. I feel festive whenever I have them on. They are even better when fuzzy!
3. Listen to Christmas music
You better get that extra festive version of everyone's favorite song! The more Christmas music, the "merrier" you are!
4. Drink some hot chocolate
If hot chocolate doesn't make you pumped, I'm not sure what will! It keeps you warm on the cold and snowy days, while making you excited about Santa coming! YAS.
5. Watch Christmas movies
Basically, it will turn you into an elf...and everyone wants to be like Buddy.
While we are here, let's recite the Code of the Elves...
Treat everyday like Christmas, there is room for everyone on the nice list, and the best way to spread Christmas cheer is signing loud for all to hear!
6. Go shop!
So many people hate the holidays because of the shopping. Do not be one of those people! Instead, making shopping fun! Go out at 3am on Black Friday and have some fun!
7. Volunteer
Nothing will put you in a better mood than helping others! This is the best gift ever! Try volunteering at the soup kitchen, animal shelter, or sending a care package to a solider.
8. Sing a Christmas carol
Christmas carols have a way of making everyone smile. Those classics bring back old time memories, you're sure to be festive after this!
9. Visit Santa
YEP, I said it! Go visit Santa. Take a friend or family member and bring back the magic of Christmas.
10. Visit a light display
Light up the season, literally. The holidays are prime time for beautiful light displays, let the festivities begin!
11. Play in the snow
Instead of complaining about the snow, why not enjoy it? It really can be beautiful and fun with friends! Get out there...don't forget to bundle up.
The holidays are going to come no matter what. So, hopefully with these tips you can get prepared and have a little more Christmas spirit. Have a safe and fun holiday filled with friends, family, and food...my three favorite things! Happy holidays, ya filthy animal.
