To The Project Group I Actually Liked In College

Because this honestly never happens.

Group projects are the worst. I've said it a million times. But maybe they don't always have to be.

This semester in one of my "senior" classes, on the first day, they told us everything was group work. I looked at my friend and we both had the same thought. We originally met and became friends because of a group project, so we were slightly optimistic.

But still not excited. She knew a couple people in the class who all managed to know way more people and already have a group picked, except one. Then there were three. Okay, not bad. We just needed two more people.

One day before class, we started talking to a girl who was also in our class. She didn't have a group so we invited her to join ours. Almost there, one more person.

We decided to leave this up to fate. We knew someone would end up group-less and we could just welcome them into ours. And that's exactly what happened.

We exchanged numbers and it was all good. Anything could happen at this point; we just had to wait and see.

Honestly, they are the best group I have ever been a part of. We work really well together. We get along really well. We have fun. We've all become pretty great friends. We all went out together. We've helped each other with other classes. We realized we had other classes together.

Anyone who knows me knows I hate group projects. But for once, I don't. I hit the group project jackpot with these four. I know that some people honestly can't ever say the same.

Luckily, our class is "two parts", so we've already promised to be together in a group again next year. Honestly, I think I'm going to miss spending most of my time with them over break.

I wish every group project I've ever been in could have been like this one. And I wish every group project I'm in, in the future, is like this one.

They're one of a kind. They don't think I'm annoying when I text in the group chat a million times, or maybe they're just too nice to tell me. They were willing to go out on a Thursday night with me for my birthday.

I'm thankful that at least once in my college career, I got to be a part of a group that I actually gained friends from. It's a really big breath of fresh air when you get to actually enjoy working with a group of people.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
