Through the years, I myself have always been a McDonald's supporter. I've made a lot of wonderful memories on road trips, and especially at breakfast time thanks to this gold mine. Sure it's unhealthy fast food, but sometimes it's just good to have in your life, you know? But let me tell you, I've about had it. Because most of the time I am looking to order one thing when I walk through those doors, and 99.9% of the time I end up walking right back out. I have a feeling most of ya'll could guess what I'm about to say.
That's right, you guessed it.
THE ICE CREAM MACHINE IS ALWAYS BROKEN.
I just want a hot fudge sundae. Sometimes with extra hot fudge. Always with peanuts. I used to get so excited thinking about the little cup of heaven, but now I have to restrain myself from getting my hopes up until I walk in to ask if the ice cream machine is in fact working. I can't tell you how many times I've rapidly walked out of the restaurant to keep from screaming when they tell me the machine is down. If I had a dollar for every time they've told me this, I would be able to buy new ice cream machines for every McDonald's in the US.
Which leads me to wonder why on earth they haven't already done this. I don't think McDonald's is struggling to make money. So please tell me why you can't have working ice cream machines.
The other day I drove to 2 different Mcdonald's because I was craving a sundae. Both let me down. This isn't the first time I've traveled out of my way in search of the precious ice cream. Last year, I drove to 4 different locations on St. Patrick's Day just to get a shamrock shake, my favorite, and every single one told me the same thing. I didn't even end up getting a shake, let alone on the holiday they market the shakes for! The point is, I'm over it. I'm done wasting my time, gas, and frustration on ice cream I most likely won't get. I've made my decision. Give me working ice cream machines, and I'll give you my business. Until then, I'll see you at Wendy's. Because they'll always have a frosty waiting for me.
