I believe the most powerful form of prayer is worship. I try to listen to the 91.1 K-Love radio station everyday even if it’s just for five minutes. It is so inspiring to hear stories of how K-Love has touched people’s live in the most amazing ways. It has helped me get through some of my own personal struggles as well. I love worship because it’s not only praising the Lord but you're also connecting to the lyrics and message behind the lyrics. These artists are just a few of the many worship artists I love to listen to. The lyrics are so powerful and there is a wave of emotions that comes over me when I listen to them.
1. “Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders let me walk upon the water wherever you would call me take me deeper than my feet could ever wander and my faith will be made stronger in the presence of my Savior” -Oceans, Hillsong
This song is my favorite worship song. The words speak to me so clearly in the sense that I need to trust God’s plan for me and have faith that he will take care of me.
2. “Set a fire down in my soul that I can’t contain I can’t control I want more of you God I want more of you God” -Set A Fire, Jesus Culture

3. “I am a thorn in your crown but you love me anyway I am the sweat from your brow but you love me anyway I am the nail in your wrist but you love me anyway I am Judas’ kiss but you love me anyway” -You Love Me Anyway, Sidewalk Prophets
These lyrics are so powerful because it reminds us of Jesus’ sacrifice. He took our pain and our burdens and carried it to the cross. He did that all out of love for us and I am in awe of his strength to give his life for us.
4. “More of you less of me make me who I’m meant to be you're all I want all I need you're everything” -More Of You, Colton Dixon
This song is about wanting to get rid of the plans we have for ourselves and wanting to focus on what God wants for us.

6. “Lord, I need you, oh, I need you every hour I need you my one defense, my righteousness oh God, how I need you” -Lord I Need You, Matt Maher
This song holds a special place in my heart. This song is about admitting to yourself and to God that you need him every moment of your life because he gives you the strength to turn away from evil.
7. “He is jealous for me, loves like a hurricane, I am a tree, bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy… If his grace is an ocean, we’re all sinking.. Oh how he loves us” -How He Loves, David Crowder Band
I love these lyrics because it is saying that God loves with a magnitude that we cannot even begin to fathom.
8. “We believe in God the Father we believe in Jesus Christ we believe in the Holy Spirit and He’s given us new life! We believe in the crucifixion we believe that he conquered death we believe in the resurrection and He’s coming back again!” -We Believe, Newsboys
This song is important because we are confessing our beliefs and everything it entails. It is something we confess every Sunday at mass and it is the basis of which we build our faith.
9. “You are the peace in my troubled sea my lighthouse my lighthouse shining in the darkness I will follow you my lighthouse my lighthouse I will trust the promise you will carry me safe to shore” -My Lighthouse, Rend Collective
This song is talking about finding peace and hope within the Lord that he will keep you safe.
10. “All my life I have been called unworthy named by the voice of my shame and regret but when I hear you whisper, 'Child lift up your head' I remember oh God, you're not done with me yet I am redeemed you set me free so I’ll shake off these heavy chains wipe away every stain, now I’m not who I used to be I am redeemed” -Redeemed, Big Daddy Weave
These lyrics are important to me because I struggle with self esteem and I have to remind myself that the voice of God is stronger than the voices in my head.
11. “You're a Good Good Father, it’s who you are, it’s who you are, it’s who you are and I’m loved by you, it’s who I am, it’s who I am, it’s who I am you are perfect in all of your ways” -Good Good Father, Chris Tomlin
This song is important to understanding our relationship with God. He is our father and we are his sons and daughters and it is through him that we have life.
12. “Tell your heart to beat again close your eyes and breathe it in let the shadows fall away step into the light of grace yesterday’s a closing door you don’t live there anymore say goodbye to where you’ve been and tell your heart to beat again” -Tell Your Heart To Beat Again, Danny Gokey
This song is a reminder that we all are clouded with darkness sometimes. It’s important to let it go, breathe and begin again because each day is a second chance.
13. “Author of my hope maker of the stars let me be your work of art won’t you write your story on my heart” -Write Your Story, Francesca Battistelli
This song is about God creating the universe and creating each and everyone of us with a purpose in mind.
14. “I just let go and I feel exposed but it’s so beautiful cause this is who I am … Lord I’m ready now all the walls are down time is running out and I wanna make this count I ran away from you and did what I wanted to but I don't want to let you down oh Lord I’m ready now” -Lord I’m Ready Now, Plumb
This song is close to my heart because letting go of the baggage and burdens and allowing God into your heart is the most beautiful feeling.
