Pray Like Cray And Listen Like Cray

Have we ever thought about how we can pray like crazy but also we have to remain quiet and just listen?

Ever stumbled on someone’s random page on twitter that makes you literally so thankful that you did? It happens to me all the time! A few weeks ago via Twitter, I stumbled on Carly Lynn’s twitter page. I had no clue who this girl is or where she lives. Nothing. Fast forward to today when I carved out some extra time to just see what her Twitter and YouTube page was all about.

Anyway, her current pinned Tweet was about how girls have to realize their worth and know where it comes from. I watched her Twitter reel and then found myself making my way to her youtube account. About 30 minutes later I found myself taking notes.

We all experience things that pop up in our lives that we just didn’t expect. We all experience things in life that set us back, hinder us from our potential, and make us angry with God. What we don’t realize is that God isn’t doing those things to ourselves. God doesn’t want to see his children hurt. God doesn’t like when anger is directed at him or when we have anger.

So we pray to him, we pray for things that we think we need, think we want, think might change our lives. We pray for either happiness or our health. We expect an answer on our time, yet we forget that our God doesn’t live on our earth and doesn’t need to answer in our time. He answers on his time, in his way, and when he sees fit.

Have we ever thought about how we can pray like crazy but also we have to remain quiet and just listen? Just be thankful and become retrospective. This answer isn’t always going to be what we might want it to be. It isn’t always going to be within our time. It isn’t always going to make sense. That’s why we have joy, that’s why we trust in him. His answer will come around, but we first must start believing in it, with all of your heart. Being religious and in college is hard, things get thrown our way ALL the time. One must remember and believe in their prayers and remain calm until then. Good day and God bless.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
