As The School Year Begins, Don't Forget To Take Care Of Yourself

It's so so important!

For most of us, school has officially started at a university or wherever you may be going. Sometimes we may end up getting so busy, with our classes, our social lives, our relationships, our extracurricular activities, and just life in general, that we may end up forgetting to take time for ourselves.

I have been there before myself! One time, I ended up getting so busy I actually forgot to eat dinner! Don't worry that won't happen again, but that is why I have been making sure that I do get something to eat at all meals of the day, even if it is something small because having all meals for each day is so important. You need energy just to get through the day otherwise you might end up not being able to focus or, more seriously, collapsing.

Even if you end up being busy, always make sure you take time for yourself. Perhaps take walk, watch a video on YouTube, color, make a craft, look at photos of cute animals, take photos of pretty things, play a video game or read a book. Do whatever makes you happy because the happier you are, the less stressed you will be, leading to a better focus and a higher chance of passing your classes.

Make sure you guys always put yourself first and foremost because it is you that is in charge of your life. It is you that determines how well you will do in life. It is you that determines your future, no one else, because, in the real world, there are going to be stressful situations, but it is up to you and only you to handle them appropriately. Personally, I make sure to always practice self-care because taking just even a minute of time for yourself can make all the difference in your mental wellbeing.

Not only is self-care important for college, but also for the real world, as well, because if you keep stressing out over even the littlest things you might end up getting sick or even worse. Stress is not good for the body all the time, and it can really end up taking a toll on you, which is why it is important to take care of yourself.

I hope everyone has a great year this year, whether it is your first or last year at school or if you have a job, a career or wherever you may be pursuing. Time to yourself is the most important thing because it can either make or break your year, so get out there, and start making the world your own. After all, we are the future!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
