The Bible is the best book we will ever read. Words truly are powerful. Especially the words of this special book. We all have struggles and hard times in life. It doesn't matter if you're five years old or 75 years old, we need a higher power to help us through this life every second of every day. Whether it is a financial issue, stress, depression, a relationship, a test, and friendship, a tryout, a game, anything big or small, it is important to be reminded that we have an awesome God to rely on. We can find power in His word.
1. Philippians 4:13
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
2. Matthew 7:7-8
"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened."
3. Matthew 11:28-30
"Come unto me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
4. Isaiah 43:1-3
"Fear not: for I have redeemed you, I have called you by your name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you: when you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon you. For I am the LORD your God, the Holy one of Israel, your Savior."
5. Isaiah 41:10
"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
6. Romans 15:13
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as your trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."
7. Psalm 62:6
"He only is my Rock and my Salvation; He is my defense and my Fortress, I shall not be moved."
8. Philippians 4:6-8
"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, let your mind dwell on these things."
9. Matthew 17:20
"If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will say to your mountain "Move" and it will move. And nothing will be impossible for you."
10. 1 Peter 5:6-7
" Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."
The verses could go on and on, but these 10 are a few that are important to me. There is power in God's word, and this is something we can all look to when we are needing strength in our lives.
