Post-Spring Break Life Is Tiring, But Absolutely Worth It

Let's come back to our favorite campus and kick butt!

Spring Break is a time of renewal and revitalization for every student, especially college students.

Hopefully, for most, midterm season passes without a hitch and the week before break goes as smoothly as it possibly can. And then, it's finally time to catch up on your Netflix binging and sleeping.

My Spring Break is officially over and I'm slowly getting back into the swing of things on campus. During break, I caught up on sleep, reading, got a job for the summertime, had more time for my daily devotional, and I spent much-needed time with family.

Coming back to campus this time was a bit more bittersweet than coming back from Winter Break. I certainly miss my dogs and my family, as well as being a bit overwhelmed by the influx of information reintroduced after break. But I can say, post-break life is totally worth it.

At this stage in the semester, we have to make sure we're keeping ourselves happy and healthy, because we're SO CLOSE to the end! We're so close to final grades, summer, and warmth!

Coming back from Spring Break is also awesome because there's the promise of spring to look forward to when everyone comes back out of hiding and you pass at least a dozen people in hammocks or catching some rays on the lawn!

I've always been one for warm and maximum amounts of sunshine, but it's also proven that getting more sunlight brightens your mood and you are overall happier during the warm months.

And I know, as college students, we could all use a bit of extra joy in the midst of our crazy, hectic, end-of-the-semester schedules!

In springtime, there's always something happening on almost all college campuses, it seems. Our bodies are in need of that activity and we're fresh out of the cold and snowy feels of winter. Therefore, it is time to get out and engage with others.

We may not be on a glorious break anymore, with no 8 a.m. classes or 10-page papers to write in a week, but we're right in the end stretch!

So:

1. Get up.

2. Make your bed.

3. Get a cup of coffee in your system.

4. And kick butt the rest of this semester!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
