Are there any special moments that symbolize an important milestone in your life? Is it graduating high school or college? Experiencing the first signs of your first love? Boarding a plane across the other side of the world, or across the country, on your own for the first time ever? Getting engaged? Married? Not only do they serve as milestones but also those pinnacle turning points in your life?

Each moment, every obstacle, and all of life's ups-and-downs are aimed to shape the specific individual that each and every one of us are today, here on this earth. For the good and bad, everything in life happens for a reason. As I believe (it's up to you whether you believe it or not), the universe and God is creating those special moments, paths, and events before our eyes. We may not think or see it at that time but they symbolize the future flashing before us. Look no further folks, the future is coming and it is as bright as it can be.

To all the graduating seniors (high school, college, grad/med/law school), the time has finally arrived. All those years of schooling are paying off. You might have been slaying over lack of sleep, numerous emotional and mental breakdowns, pulling doubles each weekend in the last few months in order to support yourself through the semester, and investing countless hours cramming for those final exams and projects (or in my case, had a pre-grad weekend getaway before finals week) but you are HERE. You're about to go strut your stuff on that stage, rock that 100% polyester cap and gown, and claim your prize: an expensive ass fancy piece of parchment paper.

It may have taken you the standard four or three, five. six, eight, or however long it takes nowadays, years but you have done it. In the process, struggles and thoughts of giving up must have came up on your mind over a gazillion times (if they haven't, you're just damn crazy) or those infamous moments of "eff this, I'm dropping out of school, flying across the other side of the globe, and becoming a beach bum for the rest of my life. Deuces." News flash: this important up-and-coming first decade after high school are (and will be) the most emotional, turbulent, and pivotal years of your life. It's like a marathon, you got to keep on going until you reach that finish line, throw your fists in the air, smile, and say "I did the damn thing."

To those whom are just getting started, halfway through, or wanting to get back to the swing of things after a three or however long year break, your life matters. Maintain persistency and temperance in all that you do. In the books of the Bible, God emphasizes the importance and value of persistency and temperance. He believes that with that hind sole of balance and strong belief of dreaming big, anything is possible. You'll fail, break down over a hundred times in your lifetime, and go through a variety of different obstacles, directions, and paths but you're here. You're a completely imperfect sinner on this earth with a lot to give, even when you don't believe you are. God ain't giving up on you. Keep going.

"You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot." Matthew 5:13

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
