This is a free verse poem comprised of elements regarding nature and society.
Roses and violets
grow abundantly here
Little variation is found
For these flowers are all that abound.
Red petals cover the earth beneath my feet
Two soles sink lower and deeper
Out of sight
Out of mind
Vanishing
Slowly
Away
Disappear.
That cyan firmament like a continuous ocean you will not escape the exit burned millennia ago, washed out and flooded, are you sure it even exists?
Various tall tales and fables
Have been born of a sole identity.
It is not yours to bear.
And the reasons for your fear?
Little is justifiable in the society of thieves.
A multitude of treasures buried beneath
The rubble of things once magnificent
Now cut down to a quarter of the size;
Each and every inch demolished by lies.
Yet you still curse the heaven above all blue skies.
The lack of color is real
No fault in our eyes.
The waves of sapphire glimmer crimson
In the moonlight.
The garden is far overgrown.
The lack of consideration for the chocolate cosmos
Has caused many to wilt,
More have died.
But not the roses and violets of course.
If water is a privilege
Dehydrated you will stay
Because the watering can has never been one to stray
From the red and blue scythe of the reaper.
Numerous are the youtan poluo
Or was it the corpse flower?
That lie peacefully beneath the soil of the graves.
