4 December
I'd rather be brainless
than heartless
I’d rather be unthinking
as the mountains sit unstill
but kind as a magnolia tree
Lapping in holy fragrance
My Christ did not thirst
after the expansion of my brain
but after my heart
My soul, all of it
A mind residing
in him.
Brains make humans gods
God makes humans
Human, in full
Original sin equaled
a bite into knowledge
arrogance
the Man Dreamed
he was smart
Translation:
I can outdo God
And away we fled
from Truth of
the dream
Waves lap goodbye
on the shore of
choice inherited
unrepeatable
Yet not irredeemable.
