I hate being a woman.
As, periodically, her civil war
is recreated.
As the parts of her whole find themselves in
disagreement.
And the barricades of her body
collapse,
And spill the blood
of her kind.
I hate being a woman.
As she is born without choice or decision
Of who she is meant to be.
As she is forced to abide by
the patriarchy,
Because woman came of a man,
Right?
Wrong.
I love being a woman.
As from that civil war, she beholds
the future.
As with the expansion of her body, she expands
the world.
I love being a woman!
As Jesus would have been nothing if not
the fruit of his mother's womb.
As Man came of a Woman.
As woman is the giverof life.
And woman sets the world
in motion.
I love being a woman,
Because a woman is no man,
for she is
a woman.
