Undecided
- for the music majors and those on the wrong path.
I practice all day long.
Reading, playing, writing, (resting), working,
But what am I doing wrong?
Sluggish eyes avoid the clock as a yawn
Falls to the floor like the One Ring:
I practiced all night long.
Hearing and ingesting that one song
And still not being able to sing,
So what am I doing wrong?
Trying to function with all my energy gone,
Responding to every "how are you doing?"
With "I stress all day long."
I leave my lesson feeling complete and done,
(Echoing "more air, more mouthpiece, more coffee") knowing
What I am doing wrong.
I tell people what I will be doing,
And it feels like I'm lying.
I practice all day long,
But what am I? Doing wrong.
