Father:
Sometimes I forget it's dark now.
My blind eyes were used to the dark inside.
*-The thirst is what waits for me, let nothing interfere.
We're intertwined forever as we'll always be.
Say nothing to nobody, a promise you'll keep.
They have nothing on us, and we've always known that nothing ever changes.
*-Lost within the polluted labyrinth, I saw your eyes... somewhere
I poise myself for the storm, amidst the clamor I awake.
I convulse and cry out, these feelings I've caged in are bleeding out.
Hissing snakes feasting on my sanity, there must be another way.
Murmuring voices in my head telling me to end it all with lead; These dry eyes of mine won't rest until you're dead.
*When the poem puts dash marks, it means someone else is talking, which in this case is my father.
