It's easy for one to get caught up in their emotions especially when it comes to caring for someone who may not show the same care back. You see how much someone goes through and want to be the one to help but sometimes you're just meant for the sidelines. This is a poem I wrote on that.
No Matter What I Do, You'd Want Him
If I turned around and walked away
Who would you have when in dismay
No matter I'd I called today
You reply tomorrow when in heartbreak
Is it really so hard to believe
that the one who cares could be me
Or Is my love for you a disease
So you turn away with ease
I wonder if I look like a beggar who pleads
Who prays to be the one god almighty, please
But No.
You want the one who's destroyed everything he touches because if he loves you it won't be the same
You want him to truly care for you despite his trail of pain
You want the fairy tale ending where the villain becomes the shining night
I guess hoped I could be the ending
The one who saw you in white
It's not my choice who you chase
I just hate being backup
I want to take away your hurt
But I guess what I want doesn't matter
