A message to the readers: Abuse, Sexual Harassment, and allegations, etc. is a serious crime and is wrong. Nobody should be harmed in any way: Mentally or physically. It pains me that there so many women today they continue to be hurt or are disrespected. I wrote this poem, for the women out there that continue to be in pain and are facing a nightmare. No one has to be alone.
I washed my hair last night,
Believing that you would be gone,
The smells and stains would disappear,
I scrubbed and scrubbed until I had enough,
Hoping there’s enough soap to cover every inch of my body,
To cover every place it hurt,
I dried myself off and crawled into bed,
But I woke up the next morning to find,
That your smells and stains were still there,
There wasn’t enough soap to get rid of you,
But I’ll keep scrubbing.
