I was the girl that was always shy.

I hid in the dark,

Broken, alone, and torn apart.

You grabbed my hand, so unexpected.

Your presence went undetected.

Day by day,

Piece by piece,

I felt myself become more complete.

Through the good and through the bad,

you gave it everything you had.

Yet here we are, years later,

It's great to have a dad who is now my savior.
