America, I plead to you, please put down the lighters, put down your fists, and quiet the harsh words.

We need to stand together, to become one, now more than ever.

We as young people, have the minds to influence. We can change the way this country turns out. If we don’t like something, we rally, we will stand together outside of the White House if we must. We cannot just give up a fight, this is our America, this is our future, and we need to fight for it! Let’s stand together and fight for the right advancements for the future, the right advancements this country needs.

Now I’m not saying don’t protest, I’m asking you to do it in a peaceful way. There is no need for us to be lighting flags on fire. No need for us to be physically hurting others who disagree with you. There is no need for harsh words during this great time of need. Some people are hurting, and some are rejoicing. We need to put our differences aside and be there for one another, whether you look different from one another, or come from different places, we are one.

America, land of the free, home of the brave. As Martin Luther King Jr. once said, riots are self-defeating. If we riot, if we burn our flags, hurt our fellow Americans, and divide ourselves, we, as a nation will never move forward. We will never be what we were intended to be. Please do not let one election divide us further, again, lets come together in this time of need!

I am with you; I am here to stand with anybody who is willing to put differences aside and peacefully protest for our future. We will stand, hand in hand, against the odds. If you need someone, I am with you, I just ask you be there for someone else too.

I plead to you, America, whether you’re for Trump, or for Hillary, please, Be kind. Be tolerant towards others, remember that not everyone has the same view points as you do. Don’t go unfriending people on Facebook, don’t go spewing harsh words at people passing on the streets. Stand together as one, stand together for the future of this nation.
