Seven Songs That Everyone Needs To Kick Off Winter Break Listening To

For the last few weeks, I have been creating these playlists and sharing with you awesome people, because music is simply just a part of life and the best thing ever. I hope the songs I have been sharing will expose someone to a new artist or song they have never heard, or that it will inspire them to listen to try something new for a change!

1. "Beat Beat" by Little Boots

The first time I ever heard this song, I was honestly intrigued and fascinated because the sound was so different and the song has such a magical feel to it. The beat reminds me of the 80's it has this Disco-vibe. The song is light and catchy and it instantly makes you want to dance. The beat is literally perfect and so are the sounds you hear throughout the song. The lyrics are joyful and happy and about just dancing and enjoying the moment. Little Boots' voice is so magical and she sounds so wonderful and happy when you hear her sing!

2. "I'm in love with my life" by Phases

I love this song because it has a cool beat and the lyrics are about loving where you are in life, which is definitely a relatable theme many people feel passionate about. The beat is really unique and the song has a cool vibe. The song is about being happy with were you are in life and I love how simple and beautiful that message is.

3. "Lemonade" by Danity Kane featuring Tyga

This song is like the definition of the word "fun" and the song is a mix between cool Urban pop vibes, R&B, and Hip Hop. The lyrics talk about not caring about what others think you and being happy with yourself and your friends. The lyrics are super sassy, fun, and the song makes you move. Danity Kane sounds great and their voices are on point!

4. "Brand New Moves" by Hey Violet

This song is really fun and funky! To me, the lyrics talk about changing things up and reinventing yourself. The new year is almost here, so the song definitely goes with the idea of a "fresh new beginning." Also, the semester is over so it gives everyone a chance to start all over and change things up! This song has a beat that just makes you want to move and dance around.

5. "Burnin Up" by Jessie J featuring 2 Chainz

This song is amazing thanks to Jessie's awesome voice! The song has cool urban-vibes and is a fun song. The lyrics and tune are super catchy and 2 Chainz' part is amazing as well.

6. "Bailar" by Deorro Featuring Pitbull and Elvis Crespo

What a fun song to dance to, and it really gives such good vibes! It has an awesome Latin Pop feel with some Hip Hop mixed in, and it's such a fun song to jam out to.

7. "Drool" by Erin Bowman

This song is so catchy, upbeat, and Erin Bowman has so much swag! She has an awesome voice as well, and the song is something you can easily have a great time listening too.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
