4 Reasons Your Next Plane Ticket Should Be To South Korea

Summer is just around the corner and you know what that means - TRAVEL TIME! Although it may not be the best weather right now (global warming is real guys...), I am assuming the sun will be out as we get closer to summer break.

If you are still thinking about what you should do for this summer, I will be introducing some reasons why you should plan a trip to South Korea for this summer!

1. Nightlife

If you are all about the nightlife culture and the underground clubs, Korea is the place to be. Many foreigners in Korea have shared that the nightlife is one of their favorite reasons to be in Korea. There are many clubs in popular cities and it's probably the actual city that never sleeps.

Most clubs go on until 5 a.m. in the morning, leaving you exhausted, but satisfied because of the great night you just had with some famous DJs and your friends.

2. Shopping

Korea is known to have very affordable clothes, make-up, and other materialistic things, that are worth every penny. Road shop beauty chains have great products available and clothes are sold at very decent prices.

It's easy to have fun with a budget in Korea because not only are clothes and beauty products available but transportation and food are affordable as well!

3. Food

We cannot forget about the food. Korea's food is absolutely amazing. The most popular for foreigners are the street food they sell at Myeong-dong or Korean BBQ. If you have not tried Korean BBQ, you really are missing out.

Although it can be quite pricey in America, there are many decent priced restaurants in Korea. The street foods are very cheap as well and there are so many varieties of food that you will be glad that it's cheap!

4. Entertainment

There will never be a dull moment in Korea. There are so much to do that your time here will probably be jam-packed.

To list a couple activities, there are differently themed cafes, such as raccoon cafes, Sherlock Holmes cafes, Dog cafes, cat cafes, book cafes, meerkat cafes, farm animal cafes, banana cafes, hello kitty cafes and many, many more.

It's a completely different experience you truly want to experience. There are also karaoke rooms called noraebang, where you can sing your heart out through a karaoke machine. It's very popular among all age groups and extremely stress-relieving.

The list that I have provided is just a small portion of what Korea has to offer, and there are much more to explore in Korea, such as the traditional houses, and the peaceful countryside, and I truly hope that as you are looking for something to do for the future, you decide to go to Korea and explore this beautiful country!

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
