What makes you the happiest? Is it a place, a feeling, a person? Most of the time what makes you the happiest isn't the same for the person standing right next to you.

Here's 11 places that make me the happiest.

1. Museums

Some people hate it because it can feel like a day for learning instead of fun. BUT, sometimes learning can be fun, right?

2. Concerts

Some people hate concerts because they’re crowded, loud, and full of sweaty people. But, I love it. There's no other place like a concert. You can scream, sing, dance, cry, and act like a fool. AND your favorite artist is right there with you doing the same thing!

3. The beach

The sand, the sun, the water...The reasons why I love it are the reasons why you hate it.

4. Airplanes

It's shaky, scary, & too high up in the air. But think about it like this. It's the journey, not the destination. Planes are my favorite form of transportation.

5. Church

Churches are the best place to be when you're seeking happiness. I am always happy in a church. Some people hate churches because they're quiet, boring, and full of judgmental people. For me, simply going to a church can make me happy and calm, with good company.

6. Coffee shops

Coffee shops are weird. But I love coffee. So why not do it for the culture and embrace the whole thing? Grande or Venti?

7. Parent’s house

Parents like to talk, and some people hate that. But there is no love and happiness that can compare to going home after a long time of being away/not visiting.

8. Parks

Parks can be boring but it makes me happy because I feel like a kid again!!

9. The movies

$$$!!! That's all I hear when I suggest going to the movies. But I love going and it changes the experience of seeing a movie for the first time completely!

10. School/going to class

I like a good class where I can be completely engulfed in the topic being discussed. I like it when there is active participation and multiple personalities in the room. Some people just count down the hours in class, but for me sometimes (emphasis on the sometimes) it goes by too fast.

11. The library

The library means work, but at least I can get a moment of peace and silence. I can easily disappear in a library, which is sometimes all I need.

There you have it, kids. These places make me the happiest, but more importantly, the places you may hate and are definitely sleeping on (hopefully not). Give these places another try the next time you get a chance. You may hate it, but I love it.

S/o to you if you love them too!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
