PINK is one of the most recognizable brands in the world right now, especially as a college female. What you may not know is that PINK has Campus Reps on most major university campuses around the country. Being the best campus in the country, of course IU has PINK Campus Reps and of course they're everything you could hope for in a team that reps both IU and PINK.

Meet the PINK Campus Reps at IU and learn why the experiences gained through the PINK Campus Representatives Program has benefitted them.

Emma Bonifield

Emma is a junior at IU from Warsaw, Indiana. She is studying Speech Language Pathology.

"I love being a Pink Rep because it combines two of my favorite things in the world, PINK and Indiana University. Most days in class, I'm in PINK head to toe without even realizing it," Bonifield said.

Emma said if she's not hitting the books, her favorite place to be is cheering on the Hoosiers at Assembly Hall.

"Being a PINK Rep has done so much for me, but it has especially given me a whole new perspective of campus. At each event, we are able to connect with so many students and come together through our love for PINK! PINK may just be the only brand completely focused on the collegiate girl. To be able to be part of that connection is so exciting!" Bonifield said.

Sofia Stevenin

Sofia is just a sophomore and a media advertising major with a minor in marketing. She is from Minnesota and a member of a sorority on campus. Last year, she was a part of the PINK Campus Street Team, and this year she is one of the PINK Reps in charge. Her older sister was a PINK Rep at the University of Illinois, and she was the one who encouraged Sofia to join the program.

"Being a PINK Rep has helped me learn to time manage a lot. It is a lot of work and requires that I constantly see what other schools are doing, what we can do differently and paying attention to what is going on at PINK and what promotions we post about. It has really opened a lot of doors for me," Stevenin said.

Sofia was originally going to be a marketing major in the Kelley School of Business until she became a Campus Rep and realized she wanted to pursue media advertising so that she could be more creative.

"It's such a rewarding feeling hosting an event and seeing all of these girls show up to what we put so much effort into. It's so cool to feel like we are making a difference and the reactions people have when we show their products are priceless. PINK is not just a brand we wore in middle school anymore. They're changing with us," Stevenin said.

Ok. Things we've learned: PINK has Campus Reps, PINK has Campus Reps at IU, they are awesome, and the PINK Campus Rep experience is life-changing. So, what do you do from here? I'd recommend becoming a member of the PINK Campus Representative Program yourself! Applications are open now. Rep IU. Rep PINK. Change your life.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
