One thing I will never be ashamed of admitting is my almost unhealthy obsession with dogs. Even writing this now makes me think about them and automatically puts a smile on my face. I've been a dog person for basically my whole life, mainly because ever since I was little and from what I can remember, I've never not been around a dog.

It's true when they say animals know when you're going through something hard. My family and I always tended to get dogs around times when life was hard or about to be. Whether it was a death in the family or a divorce I always had the comfort of a dog to be around. Unfortunately, this past October we lost our dog, Gizmo. The pain and utter sadness of watching him be put down was the hardest thing I had to witness last year.

Being without a dog for almost seven months now has not been easy. So, what does one who loves dogs do? Look up pictures and videos daily of dogs. But not just any type of dog, Corgis. I will talk to you about them until I can no longer breathe or my crying becomes too much. I'm a bit obsessed, just ask my boyfriend. But I decided to take my love for them and spread them to you especially at a time when we could always use some happiness: during the week.

Here are 7 pictures of Corgis to help get you through your week.

1. For Monday, please enjoy this Corgi running into the week

2. For Tuesday, please enjoy these Corgis swimming in a pool

3. For Wednesday, please enjoy this Corgi serving you a delicious look

4. For Thursday, please enjoy this trio of Corgis

5. For Friday, please enjoy this Corgi leaping into the weekend

6. For Saturday, please enjoy this basket of Corgis

7. And for Sunday, please enjoy this Corgi preparing in the best way for the start of the new week

I swear, I only cried once while making this. Enjoy your week!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
