San Francisco was my first destination when shooting in the sunny state of California, and it quickly became one of my favorite spots to shoot. There is an abundance of material for any photographer, and I loved that I could shoot, architecture, nature, wildlife in the parks, and of course street shots of the locals. Below you can see a collection of some of my images.
The framing of these shots was very important to me as well, and I love the desaturated look of the above shot in conjunction with the mist.
The two elements of this shot that I enjoy are the sailboat/bird silhouettes and the reflection of the setting sun against the waves coming to shore.
This shot is lovely due to the symmetry and leading lines. Everything has a perfect sense of balance, and again, framing was critical for this shot.
This shot showcases the enormous sense of the depth that downtown has enhanced by the fog over the taller building.
Perspective is important to keep shots interesting, and if I recall correctly, I'm fortunate I didn't drop my camera off the side for this. I guess the lesson is to take risks!
This shot worked best in black and white, particularly because I wanted to showcase a more classic street photography vibe.
San Francisco was lovely, and I enjoyed my shooting there very much. I'll end with a few more photos I've taken!
