SPOILERS ALERT: "The Bachelor" Finale
This season of "The Bachelor" has been a long one, so rather than draw this out, I'm going to get right to it...
If someone (*cough cough* Peter) wants to get down on one knee and propose to the love of their life, they should ideally do it with the goal of having it be not just their last proposal, but their fiance's last one as well.
So yes, I'm on Hannah Ann's side. She was ROBBED of that special moment and her heart was broken in the end and it was all because Peter couldn't pull himself together when he needed to before he made the decision to propose and actually figure out what he wanted.
"I couldn't be happier," he said afterward. Yea, yea, yea. He fooled himself and in the process fooled Hannah Ann.
Sure, "Bachelor world" is a strange place to fall in love and get engaged, but whether you're on television or in the real world, there is one simple rule: be in love with the person you're proposing to and that person only. If for some reason that's confusing, then perhaps a proposal shouldn't be on the table — yes, even if Neil Lane is providing the ring. I know! Crazy suggestion, right?
All I can say now is I'm really rooting for Hannah Ann.
Though she might not get her "first proposal" back (I'm pissed about this for her) and she has every right to be angry with Peter for that, the best is definitely yet to come for her. Who knows, maybe that'll be her finding love in paradise? FINGERS. CROSSED.
