If you've ever had a dog, you know that they are the best things that can come into your life. They love you endlessly and will become your best friend instantly. Here are some perks of having a canine soul mate:

1. They will love you no matter what

Dogs will love you no matter what you do and will never judge you. At the end of the day, they just love being with you and getting attention from you. Their love is pure and real and undeniable. The day I find a boy who loves me half as much as my dog loves me will be a miracle.

2. They're ALWAYS down to cuddle

They will never argue about being the big spoon or little spoon. Dogs love comfort and affection so cuddling is the best thing ever. The best part about cuddling a dog? When dogs are so sleepy that they feel like a dead-weight and are just laying on you without a care in the world. That's love.

3. You never really go anywhere by yourself

Sometimes I really want ice cream or something and I'm like "ugh I wish I had someone to go with me." So then I take my dog and I justify that by thinking "am I reaaaaalllllly alone if my dog is with me? The answer to that is nope because dogs are people too. It's true, look it up.

4. They make you appreciate and enjoy the outdoors

Getting up and getting outdoors has been such a nice part of my day since I've gotten a dog. Sure there are times when there are 2 feet of snow on the ground and my face gets numb, but for the most part, I love being outside with my dog. Its a nice break from all the hustle and bustle that happens in our everyday lives.

5. They will never argue with you

One of the best and worst things about dogs is that they can't talk. I would love to hear what my dog is thinking or feeling all the time. On the other side, he can never start drama with me, be mean to me, tell me my outfit makes me look fat. I think I'll appreciate the no talking thing.

6. They will up your Instagram game

I mean, come on who doesn't love a good picture of a little doggo? Seeing a picture of a dog on my Instagram feed makes me smile and feel warm and fuzzy inside. Just make sure not to overdo it otherwise people will think your only friend is your dog ha ha haaaaaaa.......

7. They are your favorite hello and hardest goodbye

Coming home to a dog is the best thing in the world. They act like you've been gone for weeks and get equally excited every time. While they are the best hello, they are absolutely the worst goodbye. Saying goodbye to your furry friend feels like you lose apart of yourself. Cherish the moments you have with them and love them unconditionally. You will never find a better best friend than a dog.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
