Dear Current Self,
Why are you so stressed? The semester just ended and all of your finals are done. You should be happy about summer vacation, but you aren't. Why cant you get excited like everyone else? One of the worst things about having an anxiety and mood disorder is all of the "why" questions you ask yourself. Why aren't you happy, why cant you have fun, why do you feel this way? Self, you have hit a bump in the road, but it's OK.
You have so much to look forward to this summer. Your friends are home, you can start working again, you're moving into your own apartment and will start to student teach in the fall. You should be excited, but you aren't. Why is that? You love your job and you have really good friends. Maybe they are growing pains, but it's OK.
OK self, it's time to pull it together. You're only going to be happy if you make yourself happy so cheer up. The world isn't ending, it finally stopped snowing and the sun has been coming out. Enjoy it while it lasts because next year, you have to be a real adult. Stay positive, self, you can do it. I know its sounds like it's going to be hard, but it's OK.
